Hello, sweet peas!
April is over and it seems like I had a lot going on. There was definitely a lot going on. Wasn’t there? I even wrote down some stuff so I would have something to write here but in the end it wasn’t that much. Funny how big some things feel when you live them but how insignificant when you look back at them.
♣️ I’ve fallen behind my Goodreads goal which I’m actually kinda torn about? I was really good with my goal in March. I was way ahead. But this month I have not actually read that many books. I really fell behind. Mostly, because I have rediscovered my love for Pokémon and have played quite a bit. Also, I got a used copy of Breath of the Wild and this might just be the most gorgeous game, that I have ever seen. I’m having fun gaming, so I can’t really feel guilty about not reading as much.
♣️ I’ve managed the second third of my driver’s licence. Which was the driving safety part of the licence. You know, what happens when the breaks lock up, what happens when you under- or oversteer, what happens when you have to do emergency breaking, all that stuff. . It was fun, but exhausting and a bit terrifying.
♣️ I’ve decided to add a few things to my “Books I’ve read table”. I have added a column where I track since when I got the book and also one where I track if it’s a reread or not. This month I have two books on there that are from last year, which makes me happy. That means that I won’t get killed by my toppling-over tbr that soon.
Since I added two new collumns I was a bit short on space so I added some symbols for the genre, which you can see below. Also, can somebody tell me if Contemporary Science Fiction is a thing?

I managed at least a few, you know. I highly recommend Wilderlore, I loved that book.
I managed a post! I managed a post! Even though there was not much going on on my blog this month, I still managed to write a post! And it was actually hilarious how many of you just felt called out by the title of this. 😉
Did I reach my goals?
As you know, I usually set myself a bunch of goals that I wanna reach during the coming month. Let’s see how I did, shall we? (Although I’m pretty sure it didn’t turn out that well this time around…)
📚 Goal 1 – Read and review eArcs ✔️
I managed to review one eArc. That ‘s better than nothing, right?
📚 Goal 2 – Write at least 4 reviews ✖️
I managed two. So this goal I didn’t achieve but there is always a new month, right?
📚 Goal 3 – Do buddy reads ✔️
Yes! Sammie and I read “Bridge of Souls”! She was a bit faster than me but it was fun and we talked about it and that’s what it’s all about.
📚 Goal 4 – Write at least one discussion post! ✔️
I should rename those in “posts that are not reviews or memes”. I mean, there is not much discussing going on in those. But I wrote one, so that’s one goal off the list.
📚 Goal 5 – Update the tbr page of my blog ✖️
Errm, no. Did not do that. I really should, though.
📚 Goal 6 – Continue reading IT ✔️
I did but not much. I think this book is gonna turn into a yearly goal. It’s just so big and at some points it drags a bit.
📚 Goal 7 – Read at least 3 books from the tbr and don’t buy any new ones✔️✖️
I managed three books from the tbr! Two of them were from last year, so progress! I actually did rather well with the not buying too, until the last week where I fell off the wagon and bought two new ones. Oops.
Have I read any books off my Possibility Pile for April?
Sound the horns! I actually managed two books from my Possibility Pile! I’ve read “Pages & Co. #2” AND “The Flat Share”! Let’s see if I can up that in May!
The only question that remains to be answered: How has your month been?
